Why/How was Australia involved?
Australia was involved because the Japanese were slowly making their way down to invade Australia, but Australia stepped in at the Kokoda track to stop them getting to Port Moresby and not allow them to invade Australia

- More than 600 hundred Australians were killed and 1680 were wounded in the battle for Kokoda
- Was an allied victory
- 4000+ Australian soldiers caught diseases
